Jeremy Strozer is a creator within many forms with a focus on helping those who are often ignored or overlooked to find their voice. As a dad, published author, podcaster, YouTube producer, improvisational actor, coach, teacher, theatre founder, and inventor he is fascinated by ideas and personal stories, finding connections between seemingly disparate phenomena. By enjoying thinking and learning about the past he understands the present through creating its context. He has faith in the links between all things; believing there are few coincidences and almost every event has a reason. Jeremy is also inspired by the future and what could be; thereby inspiring others with his visions of what occurred and what is possible.

A neurodivergent Fulbright Scholar who has studied and taught improv, storytelling, acting, cybersecurity, strategic intelligence, scenario-based strategic planning and play around the world, Jeremy’s inspiration comes from improvisational acting; the actions and writing of Gene Sharp, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Woody Guthrie, Studs Terkel, and Henry David Thoreau; and an affinity for history. He believes all stories are best told from the personal perspective and learning about history should be an emotionally driven experience. Therefore, Jeremy pushes the conviction all history is simply a personal story, compounded and woven with the personal story of everyone else, throughout time.

He has extensive corporate leadership and management experience over the course of a more than 25-year career history. Now he focuses on helping others develop innovative and collaborative teams, present their ideas, develop and implement strategies for any future, create a meaningful story, and find the joy in play.

Alongside his corporate career, Jeremy has more than 20 years of improvisational acting, storytelling, podcasting, video creation, and publishing experience. He studied at Second City Chicago, Annoyance Theatre, IO Chicago, People’s Improv Theater, Washington Improv Theater, with the Maydays, and at the D.C. Improv. Jeremy has published four books and produced a podcast and YouTube videos of the human experience in war within the Threads Of The War series.

Raised in California, Jeremy moved to the Washington, D.C. area at the age of 18 to attend university. Through education and luck, he became a Fulbright Scholar, a Presidential Management Fellow, and found ways to live and work across vast swaths of the world. Professionally, Jeremy helped remove unexploded ordnance from war-ravaged countries; stem the flow of the world's most dangerous weapons; and potentially reduce the likelihood of war between a couple of the world’s most powerful countries.

He now lives in Ireland with his wife, son and daughter where he continues to work on preventing future war, teaching improvisational acting, relationship, and communication while warning the world about the human cost of violence.

Humanity, History, Humor, Strategy, and International Security

Jeremy Strozer is a communication, relationships, strategic risk and international security expert, Fulbright Scholar, Presidential Management Fellow, author, podcaster, improvisational actor, and inventor. With more than 25 years of experience as a strategic planner, researcher, and leader of teams, Jeremy leverages deep international security, human, corporate, and organizational development experience with improvisational acting and storytelling skills to connect, translate, and solve for any future. A neurodivergent lateral thinker, he brings a unique perspective to creating and communicating a range of realities and plans to enable any entity to thrive in any future. His mission is to teach, inspire, and empower through storytelling.

Early Life and Education

Raised in California, Jeremy moved to the Washington, D.C. area at the age of 18 to attend university. He earned a bachelor’s in International Affairs and a master’s in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University. During his studies, he worked with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) as a monitoring and evaluation officer and supported the Air Force Office of International Relations and Nonproliferation at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Career Beginnings

Jeremy began his post-graduate career at the United States Department of State (DOS) as a Presidential Management Fellow within the NATO Policy Office, The Bureau of Non-proliferation, and the Bureau of Intelligence and Research. During his time at DOS, he managed international counterproliferation cooperation funds, served as an intelligence analyst, and was the NATO Desk Officer for Partnership-for-Peace Initiatives. Jeremy also served as the Mine-Action Officer in the United States Defense Attaché Office in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Advancing in International Security

Jeremy then moved to Computer Sciences Corporation as the Director of Research in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) International Counterproliferation Initiative. Here, he led the research and development of strategic plans for the program, future country outreach, and background materials to support teams currently in the field.

At Dynamis, Inc., Jeremy served as the Director of International Security Programs, where he created and led advisory and assistance programs for foreign and domestic clients. He directed in-depth intensive research on international security trends for The Office of The Secretary of Defense/Director of Net Assessments and led the creation of The DTRA 2013-18 Strategic Plan.

Leadership Roles in Security and Risk Management

Jeremy created and delivered groundbreaking work on the nexus between internal and external threats at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI). By delving into threat actor motivations, tactics, tools, and procedures, he discerned patterns of behavior and possible outcomes for available paths of action by organizational leadership. Jeremy also led the creation and implementation of a private-sector cyber intelligence sharing community sponsored by The Office of The Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Between 2016 and 2018 Jeremy co-founded Water Dragons Singapore where he advised clients on strategic cyber intelligence operations.

At Gartner, Jeremy led the Security and Risk Management Team, supporting thousands of CISOs around the world to achieve functional efficiency and personal effectiveness. He then joined Novartis as the Head of Strategic Planning and Operations for the Information Security function, where he built futures planning during a time of extreme downsizing across the corporation.
